Computer Training Job Success Graduates

The OSU Extension Learning Center at Godman Guild is one of the three Learning Centers made possible by OSU C.A.R.E.S. (http://learningcenters.osu.edu)

The OSU Extension Learning Center at Godman Guild offers a variety of computer classes and opportunities for workforce development. The computer lab is equipped with 20 high speed Internet accessible computers, an overhead projector, whiteboards, and various software packages. The Learning Center has regularly scheduled open times when computers are available for students and for community residents.

The OSU Extension Learning Center at Godman Guild is open to the public on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Open Lab hours may be used to:

  • conduct job searches and pursue job placement resources
  • take a participant lead, on-line class;
  • practice typing and other office skills;
  • create and use a web-based email account.

Open Lab Times:
Mondays: 3:00-5:00PM
Wednesdays: 9:00-11:30am

No registration is required for this drop-in service.

Computer Classes

Classroom instruction is offered in the following disciplines for the purpose of introducing and furthering business computer skills:

  • Intro to Computer & Intro to WORD
  • Intro to Internet & Intro to Email
  • Keyboarding
  • Windows XP & Windows 7
  • Office 2003 & 2007 (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
Students helping each other in computer class.

Intro Courses are NO COST! All other courses are $25 regardless of the number of sessions within the course. Payment is only accepted via Money Orders made out to OSU Extension.

Pre-registration is required in order to attend classes, please contact the office at 294-5476 X126 to find out the registration process. You may also register online by following this link - ONLINE REGISTRATION Curriculum manuals are available for an additional $15 (optional) for some courses. All payments must be made through money orders ONLY.
